While I had been working on this piece for the last couple weeks, I didn’t know how to ‘finish’ it till yesterday. I spent the morning worried about my golden Penny. And that is how I finished it. Trying to capture her spirit and any hope that she could recover. Unfortunately, the news was still bad. And we had to put her down that evening as she was suffering horribly from the cancer. I cannot bare to part with this painting now. But I am happy how it turned out. It is fitting of my sweet girl and the happiness she gave everyone in our family these last nearly 11 years.
